Female Genital Cosmetic Surgery (FGCS)

Cosmetic surgery of the female genitalia has markedly increased. This is so with increased understanding of the benefits and results which can be achieved by cosmetic surgery and helps patients improve their disability and self-esteem and sexuality when the indication is purely cosmetic.

A variety of surgical operations are available to improve the genital appearance or performance including labiaplasty of the labia minora and majora, hymenoplasty, clitoral hood size reduction, vaginoplasty, perineoplasty & G-spot Augmentation. These procedures may be done in alone or in combination. Vaginoplasty and Perineoplasty done together is referred to as ‘Vaginal rejuvenation’.

Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is the surgery of the Labia Minora or Majora to restore its youthful looks or correct any deformity if present, such that as desired by the patient or when surgically indicated.

There are many techiniques of surgery and the choice is based on the anatomical abnormality/condition of the patient.

Hymenoplasty

It is the surgical technique to restore the hymenal opening to its native state. It is day care procedure done under Local Anesthesia and patient returns back home by the same evening.

Clitoral Hood Procedures

Surgery done to reduce the excess clitoral hood which appears as a wrinkled hood and causes discomfort.
